Contents of the 4th DLC was leaked out before its official announcement courtesy of legendarydrew, a member of the Gearbox forums who uncovered details about the upcoming DLC after digging through the files of the new patch released on Steam.
Not only did the user uncover the dialogue skit to what the intro of the DLC will be but, also was able to compile a list of the new areas, characters, enemies and even some of the quest that will be in this 4th DLC. While the user did disclaim that it was just speculation based on the files uncovered but the DLC will have a heavy focus on the series iconic mascot the Claptraps. Legendarydrew speculates this DLC will be centered on the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap reveal at the end of the main game.Apparently there is already, or going to be a Claptrap Revolution against the people and citizens on Pandora and the Hyperion cooperation now is relying on the Vault Hunters to stop these revolutionist Claptraps. What this probably will means for us is we get to “Get our Claptrap Murder On!”
We saw that The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned mentions the Jakobs brand, with Jakob’s Cove, Secret Armory of General Knoxx name drops the Atlas Brand. So it’s no surprise that is latest DLC will heavily involve Hyperion.
While none of this technically official, gearbox has not removed or denied any claims that this user has made. However, Randy Pitchford the CEO of Gearbox Software claims that what this user has uncovered is only a small part of what is to actually going to be in the 4th DLC.
